Pinned Live Stream Comments

The YouTube Super Chat Beta Feature Lets Users Pay to Pin Comments

There's no question that YouTube has become a viable business for content producers, and the video-sharing platform is helping those producers to increase their revenue with the new YouTube Super Chat feature. Currently in beta, Super Chat will let users watching a live stream pay to pin their comment to the top of the feed, giving their comments far more exposure.

YouTube Super Chat will pin comments to the top of the feed for a set amount of time (up to a maximum of five hours) depending on how much money the commentor contributes. Further, the Super Chat comments will be highlighted in a certain color, the hue itself also being dependent upon how much the commentor is willing to pay.

This feature helps users to stand out from the crowd, and it provides content producers with another source of revenue.
