Sculptor Yoshitoshi Kanemaki carves intriguing skeletal artworks that blend the living and the dead. Many of these sculptures depict healthy boys and girls wearing skeletons like accessories in a way that's a little eerie, and extremely surreal. Some of this artists other whittled works seem to draw inspiration from conjoined twins.
One of these wooden pieces focuses on a young dark haired man with his twin shooting out from the top of his head. Another sculpture depicts a young girl in a white dress who appears to be encased in a full skeleton. Its legs dangle behind her, and its ribs are wrapped around her torso.
These bony artworks are freaky and hard to look away from. Yoshitoshi Kanemaki's wooden sculptures will likely haunt art fans.
