It's official—gin is the hottest drink of the moment. With new distilleries and dedicated bars opening all the time, there's never been a better time to be a gin aficionado. And as the technology surrounding label manufacturing becomes more sophisticated, true gin connoisseurs are able to enjoy bottles of fine gin with modern, artistic packaging that will make for a timeless keepsake.
One packaging manufacturer that has established strong connections within the gin world in recent years is Royston Labels. This Hertfordshire-based company has worked with Hidden Curiosities and Griffiths Brothers, and most recently collaborated with Whitetail to produce a sophisticated blue and white label for its London dry gin.
Crafted using botanicals sourced on the Isle of Mull, this juniper-led gin evokes the wild flavors of rural Scotland. It is housed in a classic glass bottle and boasts elegant labelling manufactured by the Royston team. To achieve color consistency and a high-quality finish, the labels were printed digitally on textured wine material.
Embellishments came in the form of hot foiling, which was used to apply elegant details in matte silver. A rich flexo blue was achieved with Pantone 2757, which plays perfectly on the branding.
