British gin maker Plymouth Gin has unveiled its new sustainability-focused packaging, giving its iconic bottle a green makeover.
The brand's new bottle boasts significantly improved eco-friendly credentials; it contains zero single-use plastic and has a reduced total glass quantity by 15%, equating to around 60 tonnes of carbon per year. In addition, the upgrade includes paper labels, a new recyclable PET closure, and an embossed monk motif, which was previously printed on the bottle with a plastic label.
“The new bottle design is just one of many new initiatives Plymouth Gin will unveil this year in its journey to ensuring sustainability is front and center," said Toni Ingram, global brand director of Plymouth Gin. The upgraded bottle and packing are set to roll worldwide this month.
