Visa RioPool Unites Riders from Various Backgrounds and Cities

To celebrate the Olympic Games, Visa and Uber collaborated to create Visa RioPool. The one-day partnership is debuting in New York City and San Francisco in the US, Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Mexico City, Mexico, Santiago, Chile and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

To participate in Visa RioPool, Uber users type in the promo code 'VisaPool' and then select the Visa RioPool option. The Uber cars were all Olympics-themed in decoration. Uber riders will find tablets that let them take pictures with Olympics-themed filters and animated features. Users will get five dollars off if they pay with a Visa credit or debit card. Visa RioPool participants will have the chance to win prizes like tickets to an Olympic event, Rio Olympic swag and even a ride from a former Olympian or Team Visa athlete.

Visa had previously debuted contactless payment solutions for sponsored Athletes to use at the Olympic Games.
