Spanish firm Fran Silvestre Arquitectos designed the Villa 95, which is a coastal residence in Andalusia. It is defined by its zigzagging stone volumes that offer vantage points throughout the landscape. It is located in the Altos de Valderrama development. It rests on top of a sloped and forested plot along the coast. The altered volumes are a response to the awkward landscape.
The studio explains to Dezeen, "This configuration allows the project to rest gently on the terrain, following its natural slope and orienting itself to capture the best light and views. One of the main challenges was to integrate a rooftop belvedere, requested by the client as a social space. To achieve this, it was essential to carefully control the sightlines and ensure privacy from neighbouring properties."
