Three-wheeled vehicles generally lack the features of their four-wheeled counterparts but the Vanderhall Carmel aims to change this perception by adding more comforts to the three-wheeler formula. Modelled after Vanderhall's other models, the Carmel immediately stands out through its inclusion of real doors. Air conditioning comes standard on the vehicle and a roof can be included in an optional package. The wheels of the Vanderhall Carmel are 19 inches, unlike the 18 inches of other Vanderhall models.
Unlike other three-wheeled vehicles, the Carmel uses a car engine rather than a motorcycle engine. The engine used in the Vanderhall Carmel is a 1.5-liter turbo inline-four, which is capable of producing 200 hp and 203 lb-ft, and comes as a six-speed automatic transmission. The three-wheeled vehicle will officially go on sale in 2019 and will start at $39,950.
