Enclosed Electric Tricycles

Carver Electric Created a City-Focused Compact Electric Vehicle

'Carver Electric,' the United Kingdom-based electric mobility manufacturer, recently announced its latest project titled the 'Carver Electric City Car.' While not exactly a car, the City Car is an enclosed electric tricycle that simultaneously resembles a narrow, miniature car and a large e-bike. This electric tricycle is intended to provide the transportation convenience of an e-bike and the stability and storage capacity of a car to customers in cities.

This electric tricycle has a convertible roof and powered windows on either side, meaning the rider can ride with no roof or windows at all, or can ride with the side windows open and the top roof panel up, similar to a car. Carver Electric stated that it chose a three-wheeled vehicle rather than a four-wheeled one because three-wheelers can consume as much as 5x less energy than four-wheelers while delivering similar performance.
