Enclosed eTrike Pods

The IRIS eTrike is a Pedal-Assisted Electric Trike with an Enclosed Cabin

The IRIS eTrike is a three-wheeled electric vehicle designed by Grant Sinclair and classified as an electrically assisted pedal cycle in certain regions. The vehicle features an enclosed carbon-fiber monocoque shell with a transparent canopy that covers both the rider and a passenger. The drivetrain combines pedal input with electric assistance delivered through a rear motor powered by an onboard battery. The configuration allows assisted travel up to regulatory speed limits applicable to pedal-assist vehicles. The cockpit includes seating, steering controls, pedals, and integrated lighting.

The front of the vehicle uses a dual-wheel tilting system that allows the chassis to lean during cornering while maintaining stability. The IRIS eTrike incorporates mechanical disc brakes, suspension components, and puncture-resistant tires. Air is directed through the cabin via an integrated ventilation system with filtration. The overall footprint is narrow enough to align with cycle-lane dimensions in markets where pedal-assist classification applies.
