German photographer Bernhard Land captures this colorful aerial photography of tulip fields in the Netherlands.
Tulip fields are beautiful no matter what perspective they are being viewed from, but this aerial photography of the colorful meadows is particularly striking. The symmetry of the fields from a far-away perspective is quite astounding, with vertical and horizontal lines of flowers that were designed well enough to appear as color gradients. The photography shows colors that range from red, orange, pink, purple and green -- and many shades within those colors. While some of the tulips appear as solid blocks of color, others are more multi-hued and dimensional.
This photography perfectly captures the symmetry and balance that those who cultivate these tulip fields manage to create.
