This automated P2P travel check-in service is secure and convenient. Seeking to boost the experience of visitors, 7-Eleven Japan Co. collaborates with travel agency JTB Corp and private lodging businesses, called 'minpaku.'

The travel check-in service is dubbed Convenience Front Desk 24 and allows guests with P2P lodging rentals to collect and leave their room keys at any time in the day or night. The automated device requires the guest to input a booking number, along with other relevant information. The Convenience Front Desk 24 snaps a photograph of the traveler's face and provided identification -- passport, for example. Upon confirming identities, the keys are collected from dedicated lockers.

There is a plan to install the automated device at 1,000 outlets by February 2021. With this no-fuss travel check-in service, 7-Eleven definitely enhances visitors' P2P lodging experience.
