X-STORE 7 is a 24-hour unstaffed convenience store from ITRI and 7-Eleven that integrates AI sensors, smart shelves and services to make the experience of picking up a few items even more seamless. This store featuring AIoT technologies is located at ITRI's headquarters and it includes ITRI's Grab & Go System Service.
"We integrated smart shelves with AI technologies such as weight sensors, infrared-light curtain, ID confirmation and customer positioning technologies to fully grasp consumer preferences and digitalize store management," said Dr. Pang-An Ting, General Director of ITRI's Information and Communications Research Laboratories. Notably, the X-STORE 7 is the first unmanned convenience store of its kind in Taiwan that has the ability to operate independently without the need for assistance from an adjacent store.
