Educational Translucent Buildings

Petr Stolin Architekt's Fiberglass Facade is Pushes Balance

The Nová Ruda kindergarten, situated in the town of Liberec, Czech Republic, is transformed into a beautiful translucent building thanks to Petr Stolin Architekt. The double-skinned facade adds a beautiful effect to the structure, however, its purpose extends beyond aesthetics.

The translucent building is concerned with maximizing outdoor spaces, while not compromising the inherent need for privacy. Petr Stolin Architekt uses a wooden framework that is wrapped in steel and fiberglass. The silhouette of the building boasts indoor terrace spaces -- this includes a long interconnected courtyard and a "more exposed perimeter walkway. These features prove to be ideal for the functions of the Nová Ruda educational establishment.
