In support of the Japanese team that will be heading to the Rio Olympics 2016, 15 sponsors of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games are banding together to dress up the Yamanote Line Tokyo train.
To coincide with the start of the Summer Olympics in Rio, an 11-carriage train will be running throughout the station, featuring a flooring installation inspired by running tracks. Each carriage seems as though it will be branded with the name of a different sponsor. Since the Yamanote Line is one of the most important connections in central Tokyo, this installation will be seen by many pairs of eyes.
While public transportation is often lined with advertisements, many brands are taking marketing on trains to another level by introducing theatrical events and installations.
