It is almost hard to believe that the The Way of Nailing art series has been created with a nail gun and not a paintbrush. Inspired by traditional Chinese ink paintings, it revolves around stunning landscape scenes that mimic the careful brushstrokes used to create depth, shadow and even emotion in each piece.

Nail gunned by artist Chen Chun-Hao, who is known for his use of thumbtacks, The Way of Nailing art series is transformative. Unlike static paintings, these canvases change as the viewer takes them in from different angles due to the positioning of the nails and the light surrounding them. Chun Hao writes, "When many painters imitate the works of predecessors, there is not only a dialogue with ancestors, but also a slight sense of competition."
