While New York City is home to a lot of supersized food options, 'The Shelly' may top them all. Measuring more than two feet in length, this massive lobster roll contains more of the creamy crustacean than you've ever seen before.
The Shelly is the work of North River Lobster Company, which is a three-story yacht docked on the west side of Manhattan. The dish itself is a 28-inch long sandwich made from fresh lobster meat, Old Bay mayo, and plenty of butter. The whole thing costs a hefty $99, but when split with a crowd, it's not a bad deal for some fresh lobster.
With summer on the way, this supersized lobster roll is the ultimate dock-side meal.
