Curious Mixture Sports Present Intriguing Branding

The French Absinthe maker The Curious Mixture turned to Norwegian design student Stig Bartvold to create a fresh new look for the legendary brand. The premium absinthe derives its name from the unique blend of herbs the company employs to give the beverage its unmistakable flavor. Due to the company's fervent protection of its trade secrets, The Curious Mixture is intriguingly mysterious, an attribute that echos throughout the beverage's packaging.

The dark bottle that houses The Curious Mixture is reminiscent of medicinal bottle that were common at the beginning of the modern era. Its black coloring further illustrates the secrecy of the liquor. The typography hearkens back to a time when questionable medicinal tonics were common place and further illustrates the prestige of the brand and it's lengthy checkered history. The Curious Mixture sports packaging is at once telling as well as perplexing. It hints at the persona of the brand but leaves the consumer tickled with curiosity as to the body and flavor of the contents.
