The Tenda Lamps might have been inspired by tents, since that is what their name means in Italian, but each one happens to look like a set of lips--at least at first glance. Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that there are definitive tent quality about the Tenda Lamps. Namely, this involves their overall construction.
Designed by British designer Benjamin Hubert, the Tenda Lamps are made up of materials taken from a diverse set of industries. The fibre glass rods were taken from the kite manufacturing industry, lycra from the sports industry, stretch mesh from the underwear industry and a construction technique from the tent industry.
The Tenda Lamps were unveiled during London Design Festival.
