Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

The 'Flying Lamp' Has a Wavy, Contoured Construction

— July 20, 2024 — Art & Design
The 'Flying Lamp' has been designed by the Copenhagen-based Boris Berlin design studio for the Made by Hand company as a sculptural illuminator perfect for playfully elevating the aesthetic of any space.

The lamp will call to mind the sculptural form of a wide brimmed hat and appears to hang in midair thanks to its subtle aluminum frame. The entire unit is covered with a 3D knit fabric that stretches around the frame and has an LED on the interior to offer a crisp level of light that will filter through the fabric in a soft, illusory way.

The 'Flying Lamp' keeps sustainability in the spotlight thanks to the aforementioned use of 3D knit fabric that contributes towards a waste-free manufacturing experience.
