The LLLL.09 and LLLL.09.8 are pendant lights designed by Belgian designer Sarah Dehandschutter for her lighting brand LLLL. The collection expands the studio's catalogue with two sculptural fixtures defined by curvilinear metal frames wrapped in stretched knitted fabric. LLLL.09 has a rounded profile, while LLLL.09.8 features a more elongated form. Both models are available in lengths of 800, 1,000 and 1,200 millimetres and can be suspended vertically or horizontally to create custom lighting arrangements.
Each lamp uses a surrounding LED strip positioned along the inner edge of the frame to illuminate the textile surface and produce a soft, diffused glow. The fabric is offered in three neutral colour options, with different textile and LED combinations influencing the character of the light. Handmade in Belgium, the fixtures are suspended using fine current-carrying steel cables that provide both structural support and electrical power without visible wiring.

What's Driving This Trend
- Textile-wrapped Lighting
- Knitted and stretched fabrics are reshaping premium lighting through softer diffusion, tactile surfaces, and customizable material pairings that move fixtures closer to functional decor.
- Sculptural LED Pendants
- Curvilinear frames paired with concealed LED strips create opportunities for lighting products that serve as architectural focal points while maintaining energy-efficient performance.
- Wire-free Suspension Aesthetics
- Current-carrying suspension cables support cleaner fixture designs by merging power delivery and structure into minimal hardware suited for high-end interiors.
