Designed by recently formed design studio Cuarto Orden, this vibrant and industrial bookstore pop-up shop is a dynamic temporary retail experience. Apart of the larger independent book fair Libros Mutantes, the pop-up serves as a cultural event in the city of Madrid and the Cuarto Orden team was able to create utilitarian fixtures that did it justice.
Characterized by canvas boasting primary colored stripes, the shelving is sustainable in that it makes great use of reclaimed scaffolding and wood boards. In creating dynamic unconventional fixtures from scaffolding that highlight the temporary nature of the event, the design team was able to infuse the event with an artisan aesthetic that served a functional purpose while highlighting relevant design movements.
