Instagram is promoting its services as a storytelling platform through an immersive narrative-driven experience called Storyscape that brought its users' stories to life at Cannes Lions Festival.
The activation created by Es Devlin was designed as a time capsule of all the stories and moments shared in 2018. The 360 degree experience features over eight hours of footage, which can be witnessed in the room which is equipped with over 50 monitors, four projectors, eight speakers and 242 windows. The project was created over the span of 12 months.
According to the designer, "Every little person that populates one of those small windows that surrounds you in the installation can actually add to the storytelling."
