There are a lot of artistic opportunities when it comes to still photographs and Daniel Forero truly tests the boundaries of that with his personal project, simply dubbed 'Acupuncture.' For it, the Paris-based creative taps into two fields that do not necessarily go hand-in-hand.
The still photographs depict a series of fruit interacting with alternative medicine. The edible props are displayed on a minimalist background and needles are inserted into their skin. This brings about a very sculptural element to the composition. The intended applications can be many. For one, the still photography series might intend to soothe the audience and promote a meditative state of mind. On the other hand, this might be an experiment without any other objective but aesthetic pleasure.
