Stauffer's Simply Animals Have No HFCS, Artificial Colors or Flavors

Stauffer's, one of the first companies to create animal crackers in the United States, is updating a product that's beloved by all ages with a new brand, Stauffer's Simply Animals. These better-for-you animal crackers feature the same familiar, whimsical shapes as ever but with a recipe that's free from high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or flavors, and peanuts. The updated ingredient formula includes chocolate and original varieties for everyone to savor.

These clean animal crackers will market test and Food City and Weis Markets in early 2024. "Category Managers have responded very favorably when we've presented Simply Animals," said Ken Vlazny, Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing at Stauffer's, "Our consumer research was very positive during the development of the brand. We're now looking forward to observing how the shopper reacts in the market."
