European Coffee Chain Expansions

Starbucks Milan Marks the Companies' Push into the Italian Market

Starbucks Milan is the first of its kind in Italy and marks the start of the coffee chain's expansion into the coffee-obsessed market. Opening inside the historic Poste building in Piazza Cordusio, this first location will be a Starbucks Reserve Roastery which aims to honor Italian espresso culture. The location will offer Starbucks Milan a 25,000-square-foot space that showcases the theatrics behind coffee roasting, brewing, and mixology.

The Starbucks Milan location will offer customers a limited small-lot Arabica coffee sourced from 30 countries from around the world. Starbucks will bring these coffees to Europe for the first time and will be paired alongside freshly baked artisanal food from Rocco Princi, a local baker.
