Created specifically to highlight the sculptural stairway in a private home located in Beirut, Lebanon, the ceiling light fixture boasts a spiraling shape, as its name suggests, as well as shuttered sections that range in size and height, just like the individual stairs it imitates.
Designed by .PSLAB, the Spiral Staircase Lighting has a sculptural aesthetic that is more than contemporary but just shy of futuristic. Placed in a rectangular space with uniform wood cladding, the Spiral Staircase Lighting almost appears to continue the staircase--right through the ceiling. A structured chandelier of sorts, it introduces a stark artistic touch to the home in a minimalist manner. Hopefully no one will mistake it as part of the real stairwell.
