The Astor Residence comprises roughly 200 acres of land. The homeowners use the property as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of New York City. SPAN Architects helped to restore the existing teahouse and pavilion, which the property's previous owner constructed. The architectural firm also built a new guest house and primary house for the owners, family, and friends. Boasting angled rooflines, the structures offer extraordinary views of the bay from the living spaces. The roofs also create sheltered outdoor spaces for social gatherings.
