Many modern lofts are built in old industrial buildings, and while there's an appealing design aesthetic that's arisen in kind with that fact, 'Soft Loft' transcends the purely industrial in its design. The apartment unit manages to combine the classic elements of industrial chic with naturalistic aspects that make it a melange of different styles and attitudes.
As is the demand for any self-respecting industrial loft, Soft Loft has an exposed brick wall, concrete ceilings, and steel supports. To offset the potential coldness of those traits, Line architects, the studio behind the project, added nature into the apartment as well. Another wall in the apartment is made from a smooth slab of natural granite, and the studio also opted for a decorative tree trunk in the middle of the building.
