Acting as a social business incubator, the Hillman City Collaboratory harnesses open-concept arrangements and interdisciplinary thinking to help its partners and local community thrive. The space brings together activists and change-makers, offering them grounds to collide, experiment, and help each other.

The Hillman City Collaboratory provides its community with four distinct experiences through its versatile spaces. The 'Mixing Chamber' is the "visual centerpiece" of the social business incubator and is used for events, programs, classes and the like. The 'Coworking Office' is intended to provide a semi-private place, where individuals can meet and discuss ideas. The 'Learning Kitchen' is where creatives in the culinary arts collide to facilitate activities such as community dinners and homeless feeding programs. Finally, the 'Community Park & Garden' offers individuals the opportunities for a nice, outdoor break.
