The Kokuyo Dig Office Combines Workspaces with Learning and Event Areas

— January 16, 2026 — Art & Design
The Kokuyo DIG Office is a workspace in Tokyo designed to function both as a traditional office environment and as a venue for learning, events, and community programs. The interior layout separates zones for focused work, collaborative meetings, and public gatherings. Individual desks, meeting rooms, and flexible seating areas are arranged alongside open event spaces that can host talks, presentations, and workshops. The design uses modular partitions and moveable furniture to allow the space to shift between work-oriented and event-oriented configurations. Lighting, acoustics, and material choices are organized to support varied uses within the same footprint.

Kokuyo developed the DIG Office to serve internal staff and external visitors through programming that includes lectures, exhibitions, and skills sessions. The office environment incorporates areas for casual interaction, communal dining, and impromptu collaboration, with sightlines maintained across different usage zones. Amenities such as private booths, writable wall surfaces, and technology-equipped meeting rooms are integrated to accommodate flexible work and learning activities. The overall interior palette combines warm wood tones with neutral finishes.
