Shetland Reel Ocean Sent Gin truly offers a taste of the Scottish coastline, as it is made with seaweed from the region. With distilled native bladderwrack, the unique recipe is said to share "surprising depth of flavor from the shores of Unst," plus notes of salt, spice and traditional dry juniper.
According to Shetland Reel, a perfect serve combines Fever-Tree Original with a wedge of pink grapefruit, a sprig of mint and smoked lavender, plus a glass filled with a generous amount of ice.
This new gin spirit is part of the supermarket's British Gin Festival and it sets itself apart with not only its unique flavor but also a higher strength than usual—while standard gins usually come in at 40% ABV, this one contains 46% ABV. The gin spirit is also the most expensive in the new range.
