The Shanghai Garden Villa by Studio Twist recognizes the importance of having both a social space and areas for family life for housing in China. Instead of kids moving out on their own in this country, many generations stay living together in one household. As such, abodes must be built that accommodate both this and the need for social spaces when guests come over.
Entertaining guests is also an important aspect in Chinese culture, so Studio Twist has provided areas for gatherings along with private space in the Shanghai Garden Villa. While this may sound like the house is a mansion, it's still not huge considering the various functions that it serves. The goal then is to have the space passed on through generations.
