CPlus Architects Design Mother's House in Southwest Beijing

Local design studio CPlus Architects creates Mother's House, which is a cozy home nestled in Xiyang Village just on the southwest area of Beijing. The team wanted to create an opportunity from a rural space outside of the Chinese cities that are often overlooked. The home is defined by its pale brick, timber, and stone usage which has been optimized to create a warm and rustic feeling.

The studio explains, "In the near future, the countryside will be mobile, diverse and interconnected, offering spatial experiences and lifestyles not available in cities. New villages will attract new villagers and bring new forms of community. Mother's House was born in this context, as an independent experimental sample to help revitalise the villages."
