San Diego-based start-up Cuida Health introduced LiSA (Learning Interface for Senior Adults) as a voice-activated social wellness app for seniors that can be used with popular smart speakers like the Amazon Echo and Google Home.
Technology can be overwhelming to many seniors but since LiSA takes the form of a voice-based system, it can be used to send and receive messages without a phone or computer. As well as helping to keep seniors connected to their friends and family, LiSA also has the potential to be used as an all-in-one wellness system to keep tabs on one's sleeping habits and hydration levels, and also offer medication reminders.
On top of being branded as a connector and a health coach, LiSA is also touted as an entertainer, as the app can suggest fun things to do both inside and outside of the home.
