Thoughtfully Designed Penthouses

Peny Hsieh Interiors Completes the Sculpted Penthouse

Peny Hsieh Interiors has completed The Sculpted Penthouse — a 230-square-meter duplex residence in Taipei that has recently garnered a 2026 Architizer A+Awards Jury Winner distinction. The project stands as a masterclass in transforming inherent architectural flaws into a cohesive and serene living environment.

Rather than masking the original apartment's shortcomings—which included low ceilings, an awkwardly fragmented layout, uneven natural light distribution, and an exposed, underutilized terrace—the design studio chose to confront these issues directly, using them as the foundation for a complete spatial reorganization. The core philosophy behind The Sculpted Penthouse renovation was to treat the interior not as a collection of discrete rooms but as a single, sculpted environment where walls, ceilings, and transitional spaces merge into a unified architectural gesture. This is achieved through a deliberately restrained material palette of warm mineral finishes and seamless grey flooring that visually connects the two levels.
