This perfect example of the beauty of Scandinavian homes was built by architect Andreas Martin-Lof. The small, beautiful house perches on the top of a high mountainside, accessed by a gravel road. Because of this, all of the materials for the home had to be transported to the site by hand. The gorgeous house incorporates materials that blend into its picturesque surroundings, using existing elements of the property and environment for its construction.
Originally, the site was home to a Chinese-style watchtower, and the home was built as an extension of this existing edifice. The kitchen and sundeck are made of light timber, and the tantalizing pool sits seamlessly on the edge of the property, looking as if it extends into the forest beyond.
