Subway, Walkers & Michelin-Trained Chef Poppy O’Toole Introduce Pairings

Michelin-trained chef Poppy O’Toole, also known as the ‘Potato Queen’ of TikTok, has been dubbed Subway’s Crisp Sandwich Sommelier in partnership with Walkers to share how people can take their meals to the next level. On TikTok, fans tune in to learn a variety of tips and tricks from Poppy, including how to make everything from crisp sandwiches to perfect roasted potatoes. Now, Poppy says she is "imparting some of the flavor expertise and techniques from my Michelin training to elevate this humble dish and take it to a new level."

With the University of Chester, Subway discovered the top 10 crisps and sandwiches flavor pairings. With flavor science and consumer testing, some of the best pairings were revealed to be Cheese and Walkers Salt & Vinegar Crisps, or Chicken Salad plus Walersk Cheese & Onion Crisps.
