Robert Romanowicz Uses Wooden Canvases for His Mischievous Works

Whether you’ve realized it or not, you’ve probably already seen the work of Robert Romanowicz before. From children's books to magazines, his art has been shown in countless media, largely on account of its playful, silly but still undeniably distinct style.

Interestingly enough, however, the selected pieces in this collection are all painted on plywood planks of about 4 mm in thickness with a mixture of oil and acrylic paints. Somehow, this oddly unusual sort of canvas seems to fit the content of his artwork flawlessly.
