The Electric Bear Brewing Co based out of Bath, England recently put together a rice beer blend made using grains of rice paired with crystal rye malt. Together, the beer forms a light and fresh blend that is refreshing for the summer and pairs well with rice-based dishes.
The rice beer by the brewery is called SamuRye and it features a light coloring and citrus and tropical fruit undertones. The beer is brewed using a mash technique that combines both the rice and the malt to create the light beer. The brewery recommends pairing the beer with Asian cuisine such as sushi or Thai dishes since the summer and citrus notes of the beer are often reflected in these specific meals.
