The Renault Twizy Cargo is Designed for Urban Deliveries
Michael Hines — July 10, 2013 — Autos
The Renault Twizy Cargo is the newest addition to the French automaker's lineup. For those unfamiliar with the Twizy, all you need to know is that it's one of Europe's top-selling electric cars. Renault appears to be growing the Twizy in the same way Mini grew the Cooper line. Like Mini, Renault is merely reshaping a single model to provide increased functionality to drivers with varied needs.
The Renault Twizy Cargo is, as its name suggests, designed to carry things around the city. Its rear doors open at a 90 degree angle and it can hold up to 165 pounds of goods. Its small size means that it should be able to fit into Europe's tiniest parking spots. Renault has already developed a track-ready Twizy and an upscale model. Don't be shocked if they continue to reshape the now-iconic EV. Convertible, anyone?
