Givenchy's Red Accessories Celebrate the Chinese New Year

In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year on January 31st, Givenchy launched a line of red accessories.

The star is on symbol that is used by both Givenchy and China, so naturally, it makes an appearance on quite a few of the pieces in the collection. The line of red accessories celebrating the Chinese New Year consists of lucky red handbags, clutches, keychains and wallets.

The Chinese New Year marks 2014 as the year of the Horse and there are no signs of this in the collection. However, one of the plain red clutches features a gilded shark tooth zipper pull, which is a nice detail, considering that shark teeth are revered as symbols of good luck. Hopefully all who carry around these accessories will be as prosperous as they are stylish in the coming year.
