Silk Road Week Marks the Closure of Its Exhibition in Brazil

The Silk Road Week is a multinational cultural program. Supported by the China National Silk Museum, this global initiative aims to "celebrate cultural exchange along the ancient Silk Roads." Recently, the program was hosted for the first time in South America and announced the successful closure of its activation in Brazil.

Silk Road Week encompassed a series of activities across two cities — São Paulo and Foz do Iguaçu. The experience included museum exhibitions that traced the historical and cultural journey of silk, academic discussions on heritage preservation, and fashion presentations that incorporated traditional motifs into contemporary designs. The organizers also made educational workshops for local children available. Through these hands-on activities, youth were introduced to silk-related crafts.

The Silk Road Week program certainly served as a platform for formalizing a multi-year collaborative agreement between Chinese and Brazilian cultural institutions.
