Seriously Sloped Houses

The Holiday Home by Raum Architects Takes on a Slant

Raum Architects have built the 'Holiday Home,' which takes on a serious slant from back to front. As stated on DesignBoom, "the structure of the building and the windows are made out of a timber to accompany the facade, which is lined with dark vertical wood slats to contrast the light color palette of the neighboring architecture."

The building is also located close to the sea, allowing residences to really feel like they are away on holiday when coming to the residence. Overall there are not many individuals living in the nearby area, so the owners can relax in solitude when coming to the Holiday Home.

The darker materials used also helps the house blend well into the forested area, making the abode look unimposing.
