The 'PVC Bench' is an upcycled furniture design that makes use of an unlikely building material to transform it from trash to treasure for the modern home or office. The two-person bench is crafted using old PVC piping that has been crushed into pieces before being paired with tinted resin to have it appear as though it's floating. The base of the bench is achieved with a high-quality walnut wood to give the seat a natural touch, while also enhancing the sturdy nature of the furniture piece.
The 'PVC Bench' was commissioned by leading waste management company in the Middle East Bee’ah, and was created by Ammar Kalo and Ibrahim Ibrahim. The bench identifies what can be done with waste materials to keep them out of the landfill and relevant for daily use.
