Upcycled Plastic Furniture Series

Kasper Kyster Presents the Crafting Plastic Series

Danish designer Kasper Kyster introduces a look at the Crafting Plastic exhibition during this year's 3daysofdesign. It captivated visitors through its mesmerizing forms and materials. The collection is comprised of handmade furniture which reimagines the industrial material of plastic.

The plastic components are remade or upcycled into functional furniture and unveiled at the exhibition. There are two chairs, a bench, a table, a shelf, a stool, a pendant light, and a sculptural floor light. All of these are defined by its glass-like visuals with textures and imperfections that bounce light off for a unique look. The plastic furniture rests on illuminated platforms that give the designs a diffused glow and spotlight the products from below.
