Russian designer Katerina Semenko and inventor Valery Griaznoc are in the process of creating a swimwear collection that can save lives. No matter how good of a swimmer one might be, the risk of drowning is always a concern. Their innovative design utilizes tiny air bubbles to invisibly add buoyancy in the water, making it nearly impossible for the one wearing it to drown. The simplicity of this device renders it easy to use by wearers. Unlike a traditional life jacket, there is no risk of deflation or the fear of malfunction caused by puncture wounds.
The designers have created prototypes and are now seeking investors. If successful, consumers will be able to purchase this line, which is projected to cost no more than the swimwear that is already available in the market.
