Marriott Hotels Launched a Campaign with the Innovative 'Echo'

Marriott Hotels recently launched the a first-of-its-kind campaign using the Echo projection technology from UK-based start-up Lightvert. The technology makes it possible for optical illusions to be projected into the night sky, capturing the attention of passersby like no other.

The persistence of vision is an optical illusion that happens when visual perception of an object does not stop after the rays of light from it have ceased to enter the eye. Based on this effect, Echo is able to "print" a vertical series of light before the eyes of the viewer to create a complete image.

Over the course of three days, Marriott Hotels has been projecting images over the Thames of Paris' iconic Eiffel Tower and the Colosseum in Rome as an extension of its Travel Brilliantly campaign.
