The Mcdonald's McCafe Platform Lets Consumers Place Orders and Redeem Offers

McDonald's McCafe platform offers consumers a quicker and digital way to place orders and collect offers exclusively through the fast food chain. Currently the app is exploring an additional loyalty program that will build off of the existing platform, offering freebies to returning customers and points that can be redeemed for free meal items.

The loyalty system will function similarly to McDonald's current paper card system, that allows consumers to collect drink stickers for every coffee purchased. Instead of a physical card, the points system will be translated to the app allowing customers to cash in on free drinks after five purchased. The benefit to the customer of the digital app is that it will send reminders to spend their points or when they are close to reaching a free item. The freebies also widen in selection, offering more food options than simply coffee.
