Vancouver Island Brewing's Pod Pack Supports Resident Killer Whales

Vancouver Island Brewing created the Pod Pack as a convenient way to share "the first-ever beer brewed for orcas." Purchasing the Pod Pack helps to support the Pacific Salmon Foundation, as one dollar from every pack goes towards preserving wild salmon in the British Columbia region.

The Pod Pack represents a collaborative effort from local island breweries, including White Sails Brewing, Twin City Brewing and others. The name of each beer—Ocean Sun, Rainshadow, Mystic and Deadhead—represents one of the names of the southern resident killer whales.

As well as being able to support resident whales and discover a range of different beer products, the Pod Pack helps to connect people with facts about each of the namesake whales, like the fact that Ocean Sun was born in 1928.
