The Lightlife Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage Links are Satisfying

The new Lightlife Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage Links have been announced by Maple Leaf Foods subsidiary Greenleaf Foods as a product that will help the brand meet demand for meat-free fare. The sausages are made with pea and rice protein, and are free from artificial flavors, soy and GMOs to make them suitable for consumers seeking out a free-from product. The sausages have been unveiled alongside the new Field Roast Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage Patties that are also made with pea and rice protein without any cholesterol, soy or gluten in the mix.

President of Greenleaf Foods Dan Curtin spoke on the Lightlife Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage Links saying, "Breakfast is an important part of the day, and until now, there has not been many plant-based protein options available. We’re reinvigorating the plant-based breakfast space with new delicious items from Lightlife and Field Roast. More than 70% of people say they’re interested in a substitute for traditional breakfast sausages. We’re proud to be at the forefront of innovation.”
